Dear Elsa, Anna and Olaf

Please accept this letter as your immediate eviction notice. You’ve taken over my house long enough!

How does Frozen captivate young children and place them in a catatonic state? I am of course mainly kidding, but Nug’s obsession with the animated feature is REAL. She loves to watch the adventures of the Nordic ladies and Sven. I can’t help but wonder if there’s subliminal messaging being pumped into her little brain at lightening speed. Perhaps she just appreciates the whimsical music, strong female leads and Olaf’s witty banter?

Whatever is happening I don’t mind when I have a conference call or virtual Teams meeting. Elsa is my babysitter and I have no shame, well maybe a little shame … ok a lot.

But honestly who doesn’t love Olaf? The little snowman makes watching the move approximately 300 times a day tolerable. I adore his shadey comments masked in childlike innocence.

While it feels like somethings never change, and I’ll be holding on close to Frozen for eternity, I know this season of our life will pass in the blink of an eye. So today I’ll gladly snuggle Nug and watch Anna and company save the day …. Again.

At least they make your life easier by keeping the little one occupied. But I know what you mean, these animations are marketed so well that they literally take over the house. Minions, for example. And I love your attitude, just hold on to these precious moments, and remind yourself of this fact when your ears are going numb from Let It Go.

They really do take over the house!! Disney has got it figured out they are geniuses with kids and marketing.
I’m holding on to the snuggly phase so tight…I know I’ll miss it when it’s gone.
