Pumpkin spice and everything nice

I’ll be the first to admit it … I’m not a summer creature. Hot days followed by warm nights are not my jam. I don’t want to see daylight at nearly 10 p.m. My bedtime is significantly earlier than that … who sleeps while the sun is out?

I literally can’t wait for fall. The crisp air, falling leaves and abundance of pumpkin is undoubtedly delightful … but what I’m really jonesing for is the holiday season. Does anyone else feel like fall is the kickoff to holiday festivities? Fall brings trips to the pumpkin patch, Halloween costumes, yummy baked treats, football, corn mazes, sweaters, pumpkin everything … basically fun!

I can’t wait to dress Nugget up for her first Halloween, watch her try all the delights of Thanksgiving dinner and tear open presents like the baby eagle she is. The holiday season will especially special this year and the suspense is killing me!

Brining the babe to the punkin patch is my fave. It’s so fun to incorporate traditions my dad had with us that we do with Bubbs. Also, I think that a Carmel apple spice might be in store after reading this post, bringing back memories of all of our falls together. Oh and I might be into Christmas (like my fave- the grinchy grinch) since becoming a mama. So maybe zoo lights is in your future too hahah.
